S.N.A.C

femmedere_logo_notextS.N.A.C. (Student Nutrition Accessibility Club) is a student-run group based out of McGill University that strives to provide both the on-campus community and underserved Montreal populations with access to education in nutrition and basic budgeting skills.

Founded under Enactus McGill in 2011 under the name Femmedere, S.N.A.C. aims to educate and support marginalized populations by offering workshops at shelters within Montreal. In the workshops, speakers focus on the importance of fresh and nutritious foods as well as the basic budgeting skills needed for grocery shopping on a tight budget, in a discussion-centered environment. To fund workshops and increase the accessibility of healthy food within the student community, we established the Good Food Box Program on McGill’s Downtown campus. The Good Food Box supplies wholesale produce to students on campus, increasing accessibility to fresh, affordable and local vegetables and fruit on the Downtown Campus.
